  • City and Region: General location information derived from your coordinates
  • Timezone: Your local timezone for coordination purposes

We never store your exact coordinates. All location data is approximated to protect your privacy.

Account Information

  • Profile Data: Name, email address, and profile photo (managed by Clerk)
  • User ID: Unique identifier for your account
  • Organization Memberships: Teams and organizations you belong to

Google User Data Accessed

When you sign in using Google through our authentication provider (Clerk), we access the following Google user data:

  • Email Address: Your Google email address for account identification and communication
  • Profile Information: Your name and profile picture from your Google account
  • Basic Account Info: Unique Google user identifier for authentication purposes

How We Use Google Data: The Google user data we access is used solely for:

  • Creating and maintaining your Locate Me account
  • Authenticating your identity when you sign in
  • Displaying your name and profile picture to team members within organizations you join
  • Sending you service-related communications (if you opt in)

We do not access any other Google services or data beyond the basic profile information listed above. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google services. Your Google data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties or used for advertising purposes.

  • Delete Data: Request deletion of your location data at any time

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal obligations.

Location history is not retained—we only store your current approximate location.

Children's Privacy

Locate Me is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
